Francis Ford Coppola Winery

The American Francis Ford Coppola (* 1939) became famous as a director of classics such as "The Godfather" (The Godfather) and "Apocalypse Now" and is one of the most important filmmakers in the United States, Due to the great financial success of the "Godfather" he bought in 1975 a part (and later the rest) of the historic winery Inglenook Winery (previously "Niebaum-Coppola" and "Rubicon Estate Winery") in Rutherford in the Napa Valley (see picture) and thus entered the wine business. In 2007 he acquired the "Château Sovereign" in the seaside resort of Geyserville in the Sonoma County, As a consultant in 2008, the well-known French oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt (* 1963) engaged. Under the direction of the winemaker Corey Beck, a wide range of wines will be presented under the labels "Archimedes", "Bianco & Rosso", "Diamond Collection", "Director's", "Director's Cut", "Francis Coppola Reserve" , "Sofia", "Su Yuen" and "Votre Santé" produced.
