The white grape variety with reddish berries possibly originates from France. However, the exact origin and parentage or species are unknown. It was introduced to the southwestern province of Yunnan in China in 1965 by the Dongfeng Farm with other grape varieties such as Crystal and Rose Honey and cultivated there. In 2016, however, no stocks were reported under this name (statistics Kym Anderson).

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
