, The Appellation Vully is a special feature because it covers the two cantons of Freiburg (107 ha) and Vaud
(50 ha). However, the vintners of Vully see themselves as a common area, although in between a canton border with different regulations. In 1997, an AOC statute was adopted, the main wine-growing communities are Môtier, Praz and Sugiez. The wines are mainly made from Chasselas (white) and Pinot Noir (red). Other varieties are Pinot Gris (Pinot Gris), Traminer and Freisamer (here called Freiburger).
