The "Weinberghof Fritsch" is located in the municipality of Oberstockstall-Kirchberg in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. The farm is run in the second generation by Karl Fritsch jr. The vineyards cover 23 hectares in the Foggathal, Schlossberg and Steinberg vineyards. They are 65% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau) and Traminer, and 35% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Biodynamic viticulture is practised, whereby the phases of the moon are taken into account in the vineyard work. The variety Grüner Veltliner, which is vinified in different variants, is particularly cultivated. The red wines mature for 15 months in the barrel and five months in the bottle before they are marketed. The premium wines include Grüner Veltliner Schlossberg, Grüner Veltliner Steinberg, and the red wine cuvée Foggathal (Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot). The winery is a member of the Association of Traditional Wine Estates Austria.
