The white grape variety most likely comes from Austria (see under Veltliner ). There are well over 100 Synonyms, which indicate the old age of the vine. Early red Veltliner - grape and leaf

The attribute "early red" indicates an early ripening of the light red berries. The vine is sensitive to both mildews and Botrytis, such as frost and moisture. It produces a rather low-alcohol and low-acid white wine with a golden yellow color and a subtle bitter almond aroma. She also likes to be table grape used. The variety is mainly grown in Austria. In 2009, it occupied 424 hectares of vineyards, which means a reduction of around half in the past ten years.
