Gárdonyi Géza

The red variety is a new breed between the red Médoc Noir ( Menoir x the white Csaba Gyöngye (Pearl of Csaba). The crossing took place in 1960 in the city Eger by the Hungarian breeder József Csizmazia, It was named after the Hungarian dramatist Géza Gárdonyi (1863-1922), who died in Cheb, where he also has a monument. The variety was crossbred partner of the new breeds Nero. titanium and Turán, In 2010, no inventory was reported (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
