Garofana

The red grape variety (also Garofano) comes from Italy. It should not be confused with the white variety Garofanata. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2010, it is a presumably natural cross between Moscato Violetto(Muscat Rouge de Madère) and Trebbiano Toscano. In 2016 no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson).
