Garrido Fino

The white grape variety comes from Spain, Synonyms are Charrido Fino, Garrido, Garrido Fino de Villanueva, Garrio Fino and Palomino Garrio. It was a crossing partner of the new varieties Caballete and Monja, The medium to late ripening vine is susceptible to Botrytis and both mildews, It produces neutral white wines with fresh acidity and moderate alcohol content. The variety is in the southwest Andalusia in the area Condado de Huelva cultivated and mostly blended with the variety Zalema used in sweet wines. In 2010, 59 hectares of vineyards were shown with a downward trend (ten years earlier there were 174 hectares).
