Gegić

The white grape variety originates from Croatia. Synonyms are Bijela Loza, Debejan, Debljan, Geditch, Gegić Bijeli, Gejic, Gegino Bijelo, Krata Bijela, Lozas Bijeöa, Paška, Paškinja, Vinogradarska Bijela and Žutina. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2020, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Bombino Bianco x Bilina Privlacka. The late-ripening vine is grown in the Croatian coastal region (Primorska Hrvatska) near Split and on some islands such as Krk. The variety is also used as table grape. In 2016, no more stock was recorded (Kym Anderson).
