The winery is located in the municipality of Nierstein in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. It has been run by Theo and Diana Gehring, the third generation, since 1995. In 2001, they took over the farm of winemaker Richard Ullrich and expanded and renovated it as a new business location. Since 2015, an event pavilion for wedding couples, corporate and private parties as well as a wine tavern have been operated. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vines in the Nierstein vineyards Bildstock, Findling, Heiligenbaum, Hipping, Ölberg, Pettenthal and Rosenberg. They are planted to 85% with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Kerner and, as a speciality, Gelber Orléans, and to 15% with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Frühburgunder. Depending on the wine type and location, the wines are matured in stainless steel or in large wooden barrels. They are marketed in the lines estate wines, local wines and site wines. The high-quality wines, which can be stored for a long time, bear a white label with a spear and ring with symbolised vine buds. In years with suitable weather conditions, ice wines are also produced. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine, grape juice and verjus are also produced. The winery is a member of the associations Wein vom Roten Hang, Pro Riesling, Rheinhessen Wein, Vinissima and Sommelier-Union Deutschland.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
