Geldermann

The German Peter-Joseph-Hubert Geldermann (1810-1869) founded together with William Deutz (1809-1884) in 1838 a champagne house in Aÿ, Before, he was a champagne seller Bollinger been where he had met his partner. In 1988, the company was split into a French champagne (Champagne Deutz) and a German sparkling wine maker (Badische Geldermann Privat-Sektkellerei). The daughter of the founder Marie Deutz had married a Renè Lallier, the family Lallier bought the Geldermann part. The largest German sparkling wine producer today Rotkäppchen-Mumm took over in early 2003 by a Lallier offspring the main shares of the champagne producer Geldermann.
