Gloeckelberg

One of the Alsace (Haut-Rhin) sites classified as Grand Cru within the Alsace Grand Cru appellation. It was already mentioned in the Middle Ages and was then owned by the monasteries of Saint Catherine of Colmar and Silo of Sélestat. The vineyards cover 23 hectares of slate and sandstone in the two communes of Rodern and Saint Hippolyte. They are mainly planted with the Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer varieties. Well-known producers are Charles Koehly and CV Ribeauvillé.
