Goehring Wilfried

The estate is located in the community Flörsheim-Dalsheim (area Wonnegau) in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, Wine has been cultivated here since the French Revolution. The two brothers Gerd and Wilfried are supported by wife Marianne, the parents and son Arno. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Burgel. Fraunberg, Goldberg and Sauloch (Flörsheim-Dalsheim), Silberberg (Monsheim), as well as Zellerweg at the black Herrgott (Mölsheim). They are around 75% with the white varieties Riesling, Muller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Scheurebe, Pinot Blanc, Kerner, Huxelrebe, Muscat, Siegerrebe, Gewürztraminer and Albalonga, and about 25% with the red varieties Portugieser, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, St. Laurent and black Riesling planted. The expansion of the wines is strictly separated according to locations and varieties. The white wines and white grapes ripen in steel, the reds in wood. A special feature is the Göhring Selection line. In summer about two-thirds of the grapes are thinned out. The remaining grapes, harvested by hand and selected again, are turned into premium wines. In suitable years also noble sweet wines are pressed. Furthermore, flaschenvergorene sect, distillates (brandy, Hefebrand), wine jelly and grape juice produced.
