Goethe (grape variety)

The white grape is an interspecific new breed between Carter x Black Hamburg ( Schiava Grossa ). Synonyms are Goethe Classica, Gota de Ouro and Rogers 1. They are genes of Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera contain. The intersection of hybrid took place in 1858 in the United States in Salem / Massachusetts by the breeder ES Rogers, The vine has reddish berries. It is called Kelter- and table grape used. No stocks were reported in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
