The white grape variety (also Valle's White Concord) is an open-pollinated seedling of Concord. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera (?). The hybrid was selected in the USA by the breeder John Valle. It is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
