Goziewski Jörn

The winery is located in the municipality of Oestrich-Winkel in the German wine-growing region of Rheingau. The vineyards cover 1.3 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Würzgarten (Hallgarten), Hölle (Johannisberg), Hasensprung (Winkel), as well as Berg Rottland, Berg Roseneck, Berg Schlossberg and Drachenstein (Rüdesheim). They are mainly planted with Riesling (90%) and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are cultivated as close to nature as possible without the use of modern processes and with an ecological, sustainable quality strategy. Environmentally friendly plant protection, year-round cover crop of the vine rows, sustainable humus management, gentle soil cultivation and reduced yields are used.

After a selective harvest of the grapes by hand, gentle pressing, renunciation of auxiliary substances and additives and spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in traditional wooden barrels, the wines are naturally stabilised by long storage on the fine yeast. The premium wines include the Rieslings named Hasensprung, Rottland, Roseneck, Schlossberg or ARANCIA as well as various Pinot Noir red wines. Vegan wines and orange wines are a speciality of the house. The winery is a member of the Riesling Generation association.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
