Granatovy

The red grape variety (also Granatovyi) is a new variety between Saperavi x Cabernet Sauvignon. It was crossed in Russia (then USSR) in 1949 by two breeders T. P. Zinchenko and L. T. Kokhanova. It is used as a wine grape. In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
