This vineyard in the municipality of Großhöflein near Eisenstadt in the Leithaberg wine-growing region of Burgenland (Austria) was first mentioned in a document in 1675. It lies at an altitude of 159 to 173 metres above sea level, with a slope of up to 11 degrees, and comprises 52 hectares of vineyards, of which only just under three hectares are planted. The soils consist of a plateau with lime-free gravel soils with portions of quartz and silex (fl int). These are excellent conditions for the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety cultivated here. The vineyard is solely owned by the Kollwentz winery.
