Gress wine

Formerly in Lower Franconia common term for a high-quality wine. Thus, especially the wines from the stone-harp parcel of the famous single layer stone once owned by the Haug Abbey in Würzburg. Perhaps the name derives from the Latin "Gressus" for solemn striding in a procession or pilgrimage. The noble participants of a procession to the pin was traditionally served by the monks a trunk from the Stiftskellerei.
