The winery is located in the municipality of Gols (Feldgasse 31) in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The family business, which has existed for several generations, is run by Siegfried Gsellmann. The vineyards cover ten hectares in the Altenberg, Alter Satz, Edelgrund, Goldberg, Heideboden, Salzberg, Ungerberg and Untere Hutweideäcker vineyards. They are planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc). The vineyards are cultivated according to certified organic viticulture guidelines.

Quality criteria are careful vineyard management and yield reduction. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are matured in stainless steel tanks, in traditional large wooden bar rels or in barriques. The premium wines include the red wine cuvée Heideboden (Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Pinot Noir), the two site red wines Pinot Noir Alter Satz and Zweigelt Salzberg, as well as the two white wines Grüner Veltliner and Weißburgunder. The winery is a member of the Select Gols winegrowers' association.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
