The winery is located in the municipality of Großwallstadt (Mainviereck area) in the German wine-growing region of . It all began in 1974, when Erich Gunther (+2011) leased the first vineyard. At that time, the grapes were delivered to a . In 1992, the winery began marketing its own wines. Finally, in 2004, we moved into a newly built winery. A wine tavern is attached. After his education at the University of Applied Sciences as a graduate engineer for viticulture and oenology and practical experience as deputy winery manager and cellar master, Harald Gunter took over the winery in 1999, which he has been managing together with his wife Sabine ever since.

The vineyards cover six hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Lützeltalerberg (Großwallstadt), Harstell (Großostheim), (Klingenberg am Main), as well as Jesuitenberg, Johannisberg and Schalk (Rück). They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus, Riesling and Rieslaner, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Regent and Dornfelder. The vineyards have been cultivated according to certified organic standards since 2013. Pinot Noir and Dornfelder are also bottled in (1.5 l). Around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Sparkling wines, secco (sparkling wines), noble brandies (wine, marc, yeast, hazelnut, fruit) and liqueurs are also produced. The winery is a member of the Franconian Winegrowers' Association.
