Habacht

The "Weinbau und Heurigenschank Familie Habacht" company is located in the municipality of Guntramsdorf (Lower Austria). The wine tavern was founded in 1986 by Maria Marx and then taken over in 2011 by daughter Elisabeth Gausterer (graduate sommelier) and her husband Markus Habacht (winemaker). Subsequently, some innovations were made, such as the construction of a winter garden in white vintage style and in 2016 a conversion to barrier-free access. There are three wineries, some of which deliver their wines to the wine tavern.

The wine-growing business in Rupperthal in the wine-growing region, which has existed since the 1970s Wagram the Habacht family was founded by Anton Habacht. Part of it was taken over by Karl Habacht in 1995. The vineyards cover one hectare in the Mordthal and Steinberg vineyards. In 1999 Robert Gausterer jun. (Brother of Elisabeth Habacht) took over the wine production of the mother Maria Marx. The company has been operating as a “GAMA” winery (GAusterer MArx) since 2002. The company is the main supplier of Heuriger Habacht. The vineyards cover 30 hectares in the vineyards Eichkogel, Himmelstiege, Kammering and Steinfeld. You are with the white wines Neuburger, Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ), Pinot Gris ( Pinot gris ) Chardonnay. Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow muscatel. Zierfandler and Rotgipfler, as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt. Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot and Pinot Noir planted.

In 2011 in Guntramsdorf (thermal region) the rest of the viticulture was done by Robert Gausterer sen. Take over here on 1.5 hectares of vineyards Chardonnay. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown.

Partly there is one spontaneous fermentation with yeasts from the vineyard (Grüner Veltliner). The wines are in depending on the type of wine stainless steel tank, in the large wooden barrel or in Barrique expanded. The flagship of the house is the red wine cuvee "Fabian Reserve". The wine is blended from Zweigelt and Blauburger from Wagram as well as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the thermal region and matures in French barriques. Other premium wines are Grüner Veltliner No. 1 (12.5%, mostly drunk wine in a wine tavern) and Grüner Veltliner No. 2 (reserve with 3 to 4 months Bâtonnage or lees, 14% alcohol) from Wagram and from the thermal region "Weißburgunder Himmelstiege". It will be too Orange Wine (Chardonnay), various Frizzante (Sparkling wines in white and rosé) and fine brandies ( rape and produced in French oak matured Portuguese brandy).
