The estate is located in the municipality Wolkersdorf about 15 kilometers north of the Austrian capital Wien in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Weinviertel, The traditional business has been family-owned since 1690. He is led since 2004 by Romana and Walter Erlacher. Romana, graduate of the Klosterneuburg of Viticulture and Austrian Wine Queen 1996/1997, began to work in the wine-growing business after studying at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Sciences Abroad (eg Nelsons Creek in South Africa). Walter Erlacher is a trained food biotechnologist and an ambitious career changer. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the Wolkersdorf Rieden Kühbühel, Ochsleiten, Stixenkreuter and Roseneck. They are 75% of the white varieties Grüner Veltliner (with about 50% of the vineyard), Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Riesling, Neuburger and Pinot Gris, and planted to 25% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger and Merlot. Quality criteria are a natural management in the vineyard, strict yield limit and careful hand-picking. The main focus is the Weinviertler Leitsorte Grüner Veltliner with, for example, Weinviertel DAC. The Burgundy wines ripen for at least half a year in a large wooden barrel and are marketed under "Premium". About 45% of the wines are sold off-farm, 15% are exported.
