Hajós-Baja

The vineyard is located in the south Hungary in the Hungarian plain (Alföld). Until 1997, it was Hajós-Vaskút. The climate is characterized by extremely dry, hot summers. The vineyards on Lössboden (in contrast to otherwise sand in Alföld) include about 2,100 hectares of vineyards. It mainly produces white wines. The most important grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cserszegi Füszeres, Chardonnay, kadarka, Kékfrankos ( Blaufränkisch ), Rajnairizling (Rheinriesling) and Zweigelt.
