English term (harvest, harvest time, yield) - in viticulture it is understood to mean the grape harvest. It is used in the New World with complementary terms to describe special Auslese wines. In German-speaking countries, this roughly corresponds to Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese. For example in South Africa: Late Harvest = Spätlese, Special Late Harvest = Auslese, Noble Late Harvest (NLH) = Beerenauslese (see also under Edelkeur). Or in California: Selected Late Harvest = Spätlese, Individual Bunch Selected Late Harvest = Beerenauslese, Individual Berry Late Harvest = Trockenbeerenauslese.
