Large winery and trading house with headquarters in Athens in the central Greek province Attica, The landmark of the "Domaine Hatzimichalis" is a turkey (Turkey). The vineyards cover around 180 hectares of vineyards. They are located in the Atalante valley near the Parnassos mountain near the Euboean Bay. The international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Chardonnay, Grenache, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah as well as the local varieties Limnio, Robola, Roditis, Savatiano and Xynomavro are cultivated. The owner Dimitris Hatzimichalis launched the first Cabernet Sauvignon in 1982. According to his own research, he is convinced that this variety is of the type already used by the philosopher Aristotle (384-322 BC) mentioned variety Kapnias (means "smoked") descended. The deep red country wine known as “Kapnias” matures in barrels for 20 months and can be stored for up to ten years.
