The white grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Moyer (Delaware x Miller's Burgundy = Pinot Meunier) x Brilliant. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in the USA in 1895 by Thomas Volney Munson (1843-1913). No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
