The white grape (also Freiburg 207-70) is a complex new breed between (SV 12-375 = Villard Blanc x ( Pinot Gris x Chasselas blanc )) x (( Sylvaner x Chasselas blanc x Madeleine Royale ). The crossing took place in 1970 by Dr. med. John carpenter (1907-1998) at the State Wine Institute Freiburg (Baden-Württemberg). The medium-maturing, high-yielding variety is very resistant to frost and fungal diseases, The versatile vine is called Keltertraube, table grape and Zierrebe used.
