Hecker

The white grape variety (also Freiburg 207-70) is a complex new breed between (SV 12-375 = Villard Blanc x ( Pinot gris x Chasselas Blanc )) x (( Sylvaner x Chasselas Blanc ) x Madeleine Royale ). The cross was made in 1970 by Dr. John carpenter (1907-1998) at the State Wine Institute Freiburg (Baden-Württemberg). The medium-early ripening, productive variety is very resistant to frost and fungal diseases, The versatile vine is called a wine grape, table grape and Zierrebe used.
