Hehner-Kiltz

The estate is located in the commune of Waldböckelheim in the German wine-growing region Near, The Hehner-Kiltz family from Waldböckelheim's wine and gastronomy tradition dates back to around 1800. The family home was built in 1819 by Johann Georg Kiltz. Walter, Manuela and Tanja Hehner manage the winery, which has been in operation since 1995 after taking over the Beck winery in Meddersheim. Helmut Hehner is responsible for managing the restaurant and hotel in Waldböckelheim. The vineyards cover over 18 hectares of vineyards in individual locations Halenberg (Monzingen), Altenberg, Edelberg and Rheingrafenberg (Meddersheim) Felsenberg. King of rock and copper mine (Schlossböckelheim), as well as Kronenfels and Mühlberg (Waldböckelheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser and Dornfelder. If the weather is suitable, ice wines are also pressed. Fine brandies (yeast, wine), grape liqueurs and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
