Heiner & Kreuzberg

The winery is located in the municipality Dernau in the German wine-growing region Ahr, It was founded by Hermann-Josef Kreuzberg, his two sons David and Michel Kreuzberg, and Joern Heiner. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Pfarrwingert (Dernau) Trotzenberg (Marienthal) Schieferlay (Neuenahr) as well Rosenthal and Silberberg (Ahrweiler). They are planted to 85 with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Frühburgunder, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling. The red wines will be spontaneous fermented and matured in large oak barrels or barriques. Some of them are bottled without filtration. Bottle-fermented sects are also created.
