The winery is located in the municipality of Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona province) at the foot of the Sant Pau mountain in the Spanish DO area of Penedès (Catalonia region). It was founded in 1989 and is connected to a wine tourism centre with guest rooms and meeting rooms. The owner is Manuel Valderrama Blanca, the responsible oenologist is Blanca Ozcariz Raventós. The vineyards cover 10 hectares of vineyards, planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Garnacha Tinta and Trepat, and the white wine varieties Macabeo, Parellada, Xarello, Chardonnay and Muscat Blanc. The product range includes white wines, red wines and various Cava. The winery advertises with the fact that, in a blind tasting in 1997, among 80 products, the winery's "Cava Brut Real" (Macabeo, Xarello, Parellada) was selected for the wedding of Infanta Christina of Spain (second daughter of King Juan Carlos I) and her husband, Duke of Palma Iñaki Urdangarin. Other premium wines of the house are the two Cava Brut Rosé (Trepat) and Nature Real (Macabeo, Xarello, Parellada, Chardonnay).
