Hill Smith Estate

The Australian Winery in the area Eden Valley (South Australia) was founded in 1979 by Wyndham Hill Smith (1909-1990). He was the head of the Hill Smith family, the wine-making empire Yalumba belongs. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards and are mainly planted with the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The first wine was produced in 1981. The red wine cuvée from Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz matures partly in French oak barrels.
