Son Edwin Hofbauer bottled the first wine in 1949. Since the year 2000 Ludwig Hofbauer II is responsible as operator. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vineyards in, for example, the vineyards Halblehen, Holy Stone, In fields, livers and sand pit. They are planted with about three quarters of the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer and Neuburger, as well as a quarter of the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Blauburger, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The white wines are 90% fermented in steel tanks and fruity. The red wines are aged in large oak barrels or barriques.
