, Viticulture is already practiced in the family since 1750. Until the 1950s, a Büttnerei (Fassbinderei) was operated. Out of a total of 21.5 hectares, 16.5 hectares are used for agriculture, two for orchards and three for viticulture. The fields of agriculture and fruit-growing are led by Heinrich Hofmann, the viticulture since 2004 responsible of his son Mario. The vineyards cover three hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Geißberg, Wachhügel (Wiesenbronn) and Kirchberg
(Castell). They are planted with the white varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus and Müller-Thurgau, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Blauburger, Dornfelder, Regent and Portuguese. The wide product range is in base, summer time (new franc), premium (in bocksbeutel
bottled) and Superpremium (maximum 45 hl / ha yield, matured in oak barrels). The in-house distillery produces a wide range of spirits (fruit, pomace) and liqueurs.
