The winery is located in the municipality of Mühlbach am Manhartsberg (cadastral municipality of the large municipality of Hohenwarth-Mühlbach) in the south-west of the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. The family business has been run by Margit and Andreas Humer in the second generation since 1996. A seasonal wine tavern is attached to the farm. The vineyards are located on the south-eastern slopes and foothills of the Manhartsberg and consist of loess, sand and clay soils with some primary rock. The 15 hectares of vineyards are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Frühroter Veltliner, Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau), Roter Veltliner, Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Blanc, as well as with the red wine varieties Blauburger, Blauer Portugieser and Zweigelt. Special emphasis is placed on organic farming according to KIP guidelines (controlled and integrated production).

Humer Andreas - Heuriger

The white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks, the red wines in traditional large wooden barrels and partly in barrique barrels. The "Josef Misson Wine" made from the Grüner Veltliner variety is a tribute to the dialect poet Josef Misson (1803-1875), born in Mühlbach am Manhartsberg, who wrote the well-known dialect epic "Da Naz - a niederösterreichischer Bauernbui geht in d'Fremd" in hexameter. Other premium wines of the house include the Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), the Frührote Veltliner, a red wine cuvée of the varieties Blauburger, Zweigelt and Blauer Portugieser, and a Gewürztraminer. In years with suitable weather conditions, sweet wines, fruit brandies and liqueurs are also produced. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association Weingüter Weinviertel.
