(South Island) was founded in 1982 by the Australian couple Hunter. After the death of Ernie Hunter in 1987, it is now run by Jane Hunter, the wine company Montana
had been active. There is also a good restaurant. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of their own vineyards, from another 50 hectares of grapes are purchased. The varieties Breidecker, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated. Among the top wines are those from Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, which won numerous awards. Sparkling wines from Riesling and Gewürztraminer have been produced under the "Miru Miru" brand since 1998. Every year around 60,000 crates of wine are produced.
