DOC area for red wine in the Italian Marche region. The zone includes the municipality of San Severino Marche in the province of Macerata. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the name of the vineyard can be indicated on the label. The Rosso (also known as Superiore and Passito) is made from at least 50% Vernaccia Nera(Garnacha Tinta), and possibly a maximum of 50% of other authorised varieties. The Moro is produced from at least 60% Montepulciano and, if necessary, a maximum of 50% of other authorised varieties.
