Imbs

In German Rheinhessen common, mouth-like name (after snack = small food) for the rustic meal in the vineyard, which was taken by the Weingarten workers around noon (formerly indicated by the church tower bell). The food was brought by the winemaker in Henkel basket and traditionally consisted of homemade sausage (liver sausage, black pudding, Schwartenmagen), boiled potatoes (spring men) and soft cheese, which were on a spread on the ground tablecloth.
