The estate is located in the community Angelbach-Michelfeld (area Kraichgau) in the German wine-growing region to bathe
, Viticulture is documented in the family Hoensbroech documentary from the year 1388. In 1968, four hectares of vineyards were purchased in Baden, which was continuously expanded. The current winery was built in 1978. It is owned by Adrian Graf von Hoensbroech. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines in the single-owned single location Himmelberg
(Michel field). They are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Limberger and Schwarzriesling, and with the white varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Traminer, Chardonnay and Auxerrois. The physiologically ripe grapes are selectively read by hand. The vinification takes place according to the old Roman rule "Vinum sub sole, ut crescit sincerum"
(pure wine, as grown under the sun). All technical measures that lead to a change in the natural flavor of the grapes are consistently rejected. The wines are varietal grapes. The winery is a founding member in VDP
(Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
