Iona

The white grape variety is an interspecific cross between Wild vines of the species Vitis labrusca x Vitis vinifera, It is a openly bloomed American variety seedling Diana which in turn is an open-flowered seedling of the variety Catawba is. The selection of the hybrid took place in 1855 in the US state new York by the private breeder CW Grant. The red berry variety produces white wines with a slightly pronounced Foxton, which are mainly used for the production of sparkling wines and grape juice. But it is also called table grape used. The variety was a cross partner in the new varieties Moore's Diamond. Excelsior and Reliance (2). In 2010, however, no stocks were shown (Kym Anderson ).
