Located in the town of Conegliano in the northern Italian region of Veneto, the viticultural institution consists of a viticultural school and research institute. Conegliano is also the starting point of the Prosecco Road, which leads to Valdobbiadene. The two institutions, which were established at different times, are structurally connected but are managed separately.
