The white grape variety is a new breed between Verdiso x Riesling Italico ( Riesling ). Synonyms are Incroccio Cosmo 103, Verdiso x Riesling Italico 103 and V x RI 103. The cross was made in Italy in the 1950s by the breeder Italo Cosmo at the research institute in Conegliano (Veneto). Incidentally, the same breed is also new breeding Flavis emerged. The early to medium ripening vine is grown in the Treviso province in the region Veneto grown. The area under cultivation in 2010 was 367 hectares with a rapidly increasing trend, because ten years earlier it was 178 hectares (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
