The white grape variety is a new breed between Verdiso x Riesling Italico ( Riesling ). Synonyms are Incroccio Cosmo 103, Verdiso x Riesling Italico 103 and V x RI 103. The crossing took place in the 1950s in Italy by the breeder Italo Cosmo at the research institute in Conegliano (Veneto). By the way, with the same parents is also the new breed Flavis emerged. The early to mid-seasoning vine is in the province of Treviso in the region Veneto grown. The acreage in 2010 was 367 hectares with a strong upward trend, as ten years earlier, there were 178 hectares (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
