Jägle Bernhard

The winery is located in the municipality Kenzingen (area Breisgau) in the German wine-growing region to bathe, The company, founded in 1987, is managed by Gudrun and Bernhard Jägle. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Hummelberg and Red Mountain. They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Auxerrois, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is practiced consistently close to nature, environmentally friendly viticulture. The high density of grapevines guarantees a low stock load and therefore the highest possible grape quality. Quality criteria are reduced yields and selective hand-picking of ripe, healthy grapes. The white wines undergo a malolactic fermentation after the cooled fermentation. The red wines are matured after maceration and the BSA in oak barrels or oak barrels. All wines are stored on the long lees, on filtration is largely dispensed with. Bottle-fermented sects and brandies are also produced.
