Jägle Bernhard

The estate is located in the municipality of Kenzingen (Breisgau area) in the German wine-growing region to bathe, The company, founded in 1987, is managed by Gudrun and Bernhard Jägle. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Hummelberg and Roter Berg. They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Auxerrois, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Consistently natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced. The high vine plant density guarantees a low strain on the vine and therefore the highest possible grape quality. Quality criteria are reduced yields and selective hand picking of fully ripe, healthy grapes. After the cooled fermentation, the white wines undergo biological acid degradation. After the mash fermentation and the BSA, the red wines are aged in wooden barrels or barriques. All wines are stored for a long time lees, on filtration is largely dispensed with. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and brandies are also produced.
