Jordan

The winery "Jordan Vineyard & Winery" is located in Healdsburg in California's Alexander Valley (Sonoma County). It was founded in 1972 and has had its own winery since 1976. The extravagant château and winery were built in Bordeaux style. The estate is owned by the industrialist Thomas N. Jordan. The vineyards cover 112 hectares. Premium wines include the Chardonnay, aged in barriques, and the long-lasting Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignon. Around 70,000 cases (840,000 bottles) of wine are produced annually. A subsidiary company produces a bottle-fermented sparkling wine and a still wine from Pinot Noir under the label "J" in the "Piper Sonoma" cellar purchased from the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne House.
