The important wine trade and production house with headquarters and winery in Beaune was founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin. In 1957, it was taken over by Robert Drouhin, who made it world famous. The extensive vineyard ownership in the French Burgundy covers 64 hectares of vineyards in chablis and at the Cote d'Or with numerous Grand Cru and Premier Cru locations. Furthermore, the winery Domaine Drouhin in the US state Oregon operated. The top products include red wines and white wines from the Grand Cru or Premier Cru locations Bonnes Mares (Municipality of Chambolle-Musigny), Corton-Charlemagne ( Aloxe-Corton ), Grands Echézeaux ( Vosne-Romanée ), Les Clos (Chablis), Musigny ( Chambolle-Musigny ), Puligny-Montrachet (see Montrachet ) and Vaudésier (Chablis), as well as the "simple" appellation wines chablis. Rully and Saint-Aubin, Around 330,000 boxes of wine (almost four million bottles) are produced annually. The company is a member of the renowned family wineries association PFV (Primum Familiae Vini).
