The red grape variety (also UD-36.030) is an interspecific new cross between Regent x Kozma 20-3. It contains genes from Vitis amurensis, Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 2002 in Italy by the breeders Simone Diego Castellarin, Guido Cipriani, Gabriele Di Gaspero, Michele Morgante and Enrico Peterlunger. The medium-maturing vine is resistant to frost down to minus 24° Celsius and downy mildew, but susceptible to powdery mildew. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
