single vineyard in the municipality of Meersburg (Lake Constance area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The southwest-facing vineyard with a slope of 20 to 60% covers just under six hectares of vineyards. The soil consists of freshwater molasse and moraine gravel. The varieties cultivated here include Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau. The site is solely owned by the Meersburg State Winery.
I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
