K. Martini & Son

The winery is located in the municipality Girlan (Cornaiano) in the Italian wine growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). It was founded in 1979 by Karl Martini and his son Gabriel. Today the company is run by Gabriel Martini together with his two children Lukas and Maren. The vineyards cover 32 hectares of vineyards. The white varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gold Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Kerner, as well as the red varieties Lagrein, Vernatsch, Rosenmuskateller, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are cultivated. The large product range is largely using the DOC designations Kalterersee. St. Magdalener and South Tyrol, as well as produced as IGT (Landwein). The wines are in the lines "Classic" (baseline fruity-aromatic wines), "Gurnzan" (full-bodied, high-alcohol red wines), "Palladium" (special wines in small quantities), "Maturum" (developed in barrique specialties) and "dessert wines "(Sweet and dry) produced. A few specialties are also in magnums (1.5 l) bottled.
