The estate is located in the municipality of Karditsa in the southwest of the Greek region Thessaly
, It was founded by Ioannis Karamitros and has been run by his son Giorgios since the early 1990s. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards in the area Messenikola in 300 to 700 meters above sea level. They are planted with the white varieties Assyrtiko, Batiki, Chardonnay, Malagousia and Roditis, and with the red varieties Limniona, Mavro Messenikola, Syrah, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Muscat d'Hamburg. The management takes place in the traditional way, however, is based on the use of pesticides
waived. The fermentation
is initiated with selected yeasts. The white wines are made in steel tanks, the reds in French oak barrels. The premium wines include the POP red wine fair Nikola
(Mavro Messenikola, Syrah, Carignan), the PGI red wine Melisma (Cabernet Sauvignon, Limniona), both of which are aged in barriques for 12 months, and the PGI white wine Moi, per M'en Fous (Malagouisa). Various wines are also available in 187 milliliter bottles, as well as in Bag-in-Boxes
filled with 5, 10 and 20 liters. Every year more than 100,000 bottles of wine are produced. An export takes place to Germany, Belgium, England and the USA.
