The estate is located in the municipality of Karditsa in the southwest of the Greek region Thessaly
, It was founded by Ioannis Karamitros, and has been run by his son Giorgios since the early 1990s. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards in the Messenikola area at 300 to 700 meters above sea level. They are planted with the white varieties Assyrtiko, Batiki, Chardonnay, Malagousia and Roditis, as well as with the red varieties Limniona, Mavro Messenikola, Syrah, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Muscat d'Hamburg. The management is done in a traditional way, but is based on the use of pesticides
waived. The fermentation
is introduced with selected yeasts. The white wines are aged in steel tanks, the red wines in French barriques. The premium wines include the POP red wine fair Nikola
(Mavro Messenikola, Syrah, Carignan), the PGI red wine Melisma (Cabernet Sauvignon, Limniona), both aged in barriques for 12 months, and the PGI white wine Moi, each M'en Fous (Malagouisa). Different wines are also available in 187 milliliter bottles, as well Bag-in-Boxes
filled with 5, 10 and 20 liters. Over 100,000 bottles of wine are produced each year. Exports are made to Germany, Belgium, England and the USA.
