Karvouniaris

The red grape variety originates from Greece. Synonyms are Carvounias, Carvouinis, Karbounes, Karboynias, Karvounias and Karvounis. The parentage is unknown. It must not be confused with the Bulgarian variety Mavrud (with synonym Karvouniaris). No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
